Becoming a Missionary

My beloved brethren, you and I, today and always, are to bless all peoples in all the nations of the earth. You and I, today and always, are to bear witness of Jesus Christ and declare the message of the Restoration. You and I, today and always, are to invite all to receive the ordinances of salvation. Proclaiming the gospel is not a part-time priesthood obligation. It is not simply an activity in which we engage for a limited time or an assignment we must complete as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Rather, missionary work is a manifestation of our spiritual identity and heritage. We were foreordained in the premortal existence and born into mortality to fulfill the covenant and promise God made to Abraham. We are here upon the earth at this time to magnify the priesthood and to preach the gospel. That is who we are, and that is why we are here--today and always.

First Baptism

Hey everybody! :)
How are you all doing?  Well, as for me and the mission, all is well.  I confirmed Silviano a member of the Church this week and it was a great experience. It's good to see that we are bringing people into the fold of the Gospel! It's so awesome to see the Lord work through you.  I have been so blessed while I have been on my mission to see the Lord work through me to bless other peoples lives.  But, don't get me wrong, if it weren't for my companions I wouldn't be able to see so much awesome stuff.
So I am doing well this week.
Other than the baptism not much has happened.  Well, we got a few new investigators but it's hard to see what will happen right away. One cool thing that happened was, we were riding down the boulevard on our bikes and we saw a car towing a car and something was wrong.  So we rode over there on our bikes and saw that they needed some help. The car had slipped off of the car dolly. It was a lady and her four kids and one white friend.  So they couldn't have done anything by themselves so we called a member in our ward that has some skill and he came with his truck and between the three of us we got the car off the dolly and then back on the right way.  It was funny because while we were waiting for the brother in our ward to come, we got talking to everybody and they were pretty friendly people.  We became instant friends.  When we got all done we looked over and the kids had picked up our bikes and they were riding them around.  It was funny because they hardly knew us yet they were comfortable enough to jack our bikes :)

Anyway, I don't have much to say other than that.
Love you all!
Have a good week.
