Becoming a Missionary

My beloved brethren, you and I, today and always, are to bless all peoples in all the nations of the earth. You and I, today and always, are to bear witness of Jesus Christ and declare the message of the Restoration. You and I, today and always, are to invite all to receive the ordinances of salvation. Proclaiming the gospel is not a part-time priesthood obligation. It is not simply an activity in which we engage for a limited time or an assignment we must complete as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Rather, missionary work is a manifestation of our spiritual identity and heritage. We were foreordained in the premortal existence and born into mortality to fulfill the covenant and promise God made to Abraham. We are here upon the earth at this time to magnify the priesthood and to preach the gospel. That is who we are, and that is why we are here--today and always.

Videos

Elder McNew has sent home several videos with his picture files. Most of them I have not posted. Some of them are quite silly, and others are really great.

You can check them ALL out on his new youtube channel. You can get to it by going to this website: http://www.youtube.com/justincmcnew .

From there, you can become a "subscriber" to his videos and I'll try to remember to upload videos on that page when I get them. For now, they're all updated. They were uploaded in a random order though. There are a total of 26 videos.

You can also see those videos from this blog (at the right).

Enjoy!

Posts forthcoming

Hey!

Jen here.  I just wanted to let you all know that there are several posts which I'll be putting up SOON!

Elder McNew is doing well and was recently made district leader of the Corona Area.  He is no longer able to email friends any more so if you need his address to write him a letter, please check the side bar.  New Mission president means new rules!

I've gotten quite behind on the posting of photos and stories.  We had to mail a few things back and forth.

I have TONS of photos and stories to tell you all so stay tuned!

Love,

Jen Dean
